HMS Hajen (1904)3D Model
Hajen (Shark), launched in 1904, was the first submarine constructed for the Swedish Navy. She was designed by Carl Richson, who had experience from US shipyards and was influenced by the work of submarine pioneer J P Holland. Hajen had an electric propeller which received power from a combustion engine when surfaced and from a battery when submerged. The vessel was in service until 1922 and is today an exhibit at the Naval Museum in Karlskrona. Original model by Hugo Åkerlund, 1924. 3D model by Adam de Kaminski for SMTM, 2023.
I undervattensläge användes batteridrift.
